Position
Profile:
The Test Automation Developer drives the
design and development of test automation
infrastructure for specific areas of the
product. In this role, the Test Automation
Developer conducts an assessment of the
QA requirements for a particular area of
the product set and develops automated test-ware
to accomplish the verification. This includes
tracking and measuring results to provide
a quality assessment of an area of the product
set.
The
Test Automation Developer must have a solid
working knowledge of the capabilities and
strategies of quality assurance, coupled
with an in-depth knowledge of the technology
required to support quality assurance activities,
and experience with formal testing methodologies,
specifically Mercury automated testing tools
such as WinRunner and other Mercury interactive
tools. In addition, the Test Automation
Developer must be familiar with the complete
software development life cycle in order
to provide support in all phases.
Candidate Profile:
Requirements include a bachelor's degree
in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
and at least 5 years experience in developing
test automation tools for complex applications.
Specific technical competence includes:
Experience
with developing WinRunner (version 8.2 preferred)
and other automated scripts and subsequently
producing and analyzing data
Creating
test documents such as functional, integration,
regression and stress test plans
Understanding
of "client/server" and "web"
architecture paradigms
Knowledge
of Oracle databases and the ability to comprehend
PL/SQL database queries
Experience
with software testing methodologies on client/server
and n-tier applications
Good
understanding of Windows OS fundamentals
and software applications utilizing web
services, VB, C, .NET and databases
