Position
Profile:
The Senior Software Engineer works with
the Technical Managers and members of the
development team and assists in understanding
each project's technical design, architecture,
approach and goals. This role involves the
execution of the department's charter, which
includes project planning, technology assessment,
development tools and standards, process
improvements, documentation, development
and unit testing. In addition, the individual
in this position works closely with other
team members of Program Management, Product
Development and Quality Assurance to help
resolve issues related to the technical
application design and functionality, and
to provide expertise in the most appropriate
approach to technical questions and issues.
Candidate Profile:
Requirements include a bachelor's degree
or higher with an emphasis in Computer Science
and at least 7 years of software development
experience, with a minimum of 3 years in
a .NET development role. Specific technical
expertise must include:
Excellent
understanding of object oriented concepts
and various software development methodologies,
software design, version/change control,
test strategies and data conversion
Analysis,
design and development of object oriented
and client/server applications using Visual
Basic, XML, C#, VB.NET and C/C++
Systems
and application development using Microsoft
.NET technologies
Database
development using Oracle PL/SQL
Web
development using XML, SOAP and ASP.NET
Sound
analytical, communication
(oral/written/technical), organizational
and problem identification/resolution skills
