Position
Profile:
The Business Systems Analyst will work closely
with the Director of Business Systems Analysis
and the product development teams to provide
key business and systems knowledge and analytical
support. The BSA will analyze client requirements,
develop detailed specifications and provide
direction and assistance to Software Engineers
and Quality Assurance Analysts. Specific
responsibilities include:
Evaluating
client enhancement requests for system impact
and solution design
Translating
requirements into detailed design and programming
specifications
Documenting
process flows, business rules, database
schemas and GUI design
Coordinating
and conducting system design meetings
Working
with team members to ensure requirements
are understood and objectives are met
Candidate
Profile:
Requirements include a bachelor's degree
in Computer Science or equivalent work experience,
at least 4 years experience as a Business
Systems Analyst or Programmer/Analyst, strong
systems analysis, communication, organizational,
and writing skills, knowledge of user interface
design, multi-tier software, and relational
database design.
Specific mandatory requirements include:
Experience
in writing detailed requirements documents
and design narratives to be delivered to
clients
Proficiency
with MS Word, Excel and Access
Ability
to use Oracle SQL*Plus to query tables and
create sample data
Experience
in all phases of systems development from
project initiation through implementation
Ability
to work on multiple, unrelated projects
concurrently
Preferred requirements are:
Prior
experience in IT consulting with a professional
service organization or in product management
with a commercial software provider
Experience
with use case analysis, SOA service discovery
and architecting XML schemas
Recent
experience with requirements management
and/or system modeling tools
Experience
with student loan processing, financial
aid administration or loan origination products
