Position
Profile:
The Technical Writer will work with the
Program Management, Software Development
and Quality Assurance teams to understand
business processes and system functionality
and develop documentation and manuals in
accordance with software development projects.
After publication, the Technical Writer
will keep the documentation current with
system changes and enhancements. Specific
responsibilities include researching, writing
and editing end user documentation (both
online and printable) that is technically
accurate and easily understood by the average
reader, revising and updating existing documentation
as needed, interpreting software design
specifications and integrating relevant
operating procedures into end user documentation
and learning about industry and business
requirements through new tasks and interaction
with the technical and business staff.
Candidate Profile:
Requirements include a bachelor's degree
in technical writing, journalism, English
or equivalent work experience, at least
3 years experience in technical writing,
strong systems analysis, communication,
organizational, writing and proofreading
skills, proficiency in using Microsoft Office
and a working knowledge of RoboHelp.
